Another "Moving" Experience!!
This is just a quick note and cannot possibly express what a pleasure it was to work with Katie Rothman when buying our home. She was and continues to be devoted to providing us with wonderful service. Katie exemplifies the perfect balance of qualities in someone who helps families find homes; her level of commitment was that of the best professionals, but was combined with the warmth and willingness of that of a friend. ~Brian and Amy Zseberan~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My wife and I interviewed several agents before putting our house on the market. We chose Katie because she was very enthusiastic about selling our house. She didn't try to convince us that our house would sell for an unrealistically high price. She also assured us that it would take some time to find the right buyer due to some of the aspects of our house. Katie however, promised that she would find the right buyer and that she would do everything possible to sell our house before we had to close on our new house. Before our house went on the market, Katie put together a professional looking flyer, complete with color photos that showed our house in the best light. She also held a "broker-open" for other agents at the house to show it off. She had done some other marketing tasks that I didn't even know about to generate interest. The result of all this work was about 10 showings the first week the house was on the market. Katie kept in full contact with me during the scheduling and follow-up of all these showings. We had an offer on the seventh day on the market. After some negotiating, we decided to decline and continue to show the house. We had 7-10 more showings over the next couple of weeks. On day 22 we got another offer. Katie sold our house that day and got $1000 more that I told her I needed. The best thing about having Katie as our agent was the constant communication. She called to schedule all showings. She called to give us follow up reports as soon as she got them. She called during open houses to let me know how it was going. There was no secretary or assistant to go through. She was available on her cell phone day or night. There was no "working hours". One night we neogotiated with a potenial buyer until about 10pm. In the rare case that I had to leave a message in her voice mail, she returned the call promptly. Before contacting any potenial agents, I had heard the horror stories of dealing with real estate agents. None of these were realized with Katie.
